Brevard's Future Creative Reuse Center
Sunshine Creative Reuse was established in 2024 to inspire creativity and increase access to the arts through creative reuse. Since its creation, Sunshine Creative Reuse has hosted pop-up art supply thrift stores, community creative workshops, and is now looking forward to opening a physical location in Brevard, North Carolina.

What is creative reuse?
While the practice of upcycling and repurposing materials for creative endeavors isn't new, the concept of creative reuse centers emerged in the early 2000s.
Now a movement of over 120+ stores nationally and growing, creative reuse centers focus on environmental sustainability and community engagement, making materials and participation more accessible.
Sunshine Creative Reuse will bring to life the common model of a retail art supply thrift store, donation collection center, and community space.
Our Values
Sustainability: Creative reuse gives new life to materials that already exist! Donated art supplies can be reused or resold and given a new life, keeping them out of landfills.
Community: Sunshine Creative Reuse offers a space for makers, volunteers, artists, educators, and neighbors to connect, collaborate, learn, and create together.
Creativity: Art is for everyone, and we create spaces where people can explore, play, and express themselves without judgment.
Accessibility: Sunshine Creative Reuse provides affordable materials so that art, craft, and creativity are accessible to everyone — regardless of income or background.
